Explore 2026: A look at what's coming next

More than 1500 partners came together in Las Vegas as Expedia Group celebrated its 30th anniversary, showcasing the momentum behind its B2B platform, new partner growth tools, and an exciting AI roadmap. The event sparked new connections and brought the future of travel to life.

Game on: Sports tourism reshaped summer travel

Soccer fever didn't just fill stadiums, it reshaped where people traveled. Expedia Group's first-party data revealed the host cities and overlooked nearby markets seeing the biggest demand spikes, giving partners a head start before kickoff.

AI in action

How Expedia Group is using AI to help partners move faster, simplify experiences, and unlock new opportunities for growth.

The toolkit to build AI-powered travel experiences

Expedia Group wants partners to be able to move fast with less complexity. With travel capabilities now available as modular AI building blocks, partners of all inventory sizes can launch branded AI-powered travel experiences with one of the largest travel datasets in the world.

New research shows how travelers are using AI and why brands matter

Travelers increasingly use AI for inspiration and planning, but when it's time to book, most still turn to brands they trust. According to new research, 68% prefer a trusted travel brand over AI. That gap shows where AI drives interest and where trusted brands close the deal. The research findings demonstrate how partners turn these insights into more business.

Marketplace momentum

New partners and integrations that add reach and point to what's next.

Further platform expansion on the way with CarTrawler

Announced at Explore 2026, the agreement to acquire CarTrawler signals Expedia Group's next step toward a more complete B2B travel platform. By adding car rental, ground transportation, and InsurTech to the ecosystem, partners can offer their travelers a more seamless, end-to-end trip experience.

Rapid Lodging API brings hotel bookings to the Uber app

Thanks to a partnership with Expedia Group, millions of Uber users can now book hotels without leaving the app. Through Rapid Lodging API, travel booking is built directly into Uber's existing customer experience, creating a more seamless journey for travelers and new value for Uber's business.

Despegar becomes the first partner live on Rapid Flight API

Flights have officially joined the Rapid API ecosystem, with Despegar as the first major partner to go live with the offering. For other existing Rapid partners, this development opens the door to selling more of the traveler journey through integrations they already have in place.

New Magnite partnership extends off-platform reach

The new Magnite partnership expands how advertising partners can reach Expedia Group’s high-intent travel audiences off-platform across CTV, video, display, and audio — and by using the same buying tools and workflows they already use. No new platforms to adopt, just broader reach through Expedia Group’s first-party travel signals.
